Forever Young

Go forth, young man

You have a raging fire in your heart

A radiant heat that exalts the desire to live

Hold in the breath of ambition, exhale doubt

Raise you head high and keep your eyes to the horizon

May the light of dawn be your crown

And the break of day bend to your will

Stand tall, young man

Shall you never kneel to adversity

For one day, you find pieces of you broken

Collect the fragments of your shattered being

Cauterized emotions scarred over by passing time

Wounds torn open exposing insecurity, remember

Your flesh is woven by all the lessons you will learn

Be wise, young man

Thirst for the knowledge of who you truly are

Find purpose in the love you make

Take nothing for granted, and only what you deserve

The heaviest sadness will never stop your rising sun

And on the dark days, find another heart to be your light

Together, the dancing of your flames will illuminate forever

Believe, young man

And be forever young
